We are looking for skilled individuals with 2-4 years of verified experience in the pricing or operations of a Canadian freight forwarding company.
Cargo-wise experience is a definite asset.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate shipping quotations for customers and agents in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly and semi-monthly updates for customers as required.
• Follow up with customers, and agents, negotiate rates, and close deals.
• Contact existing or new, or lost customers daily as per KPI. Build and maintain the relationship with customers;
• Assist sales and operations team with information on current rates.
• Maintain current information in Cargo Wise up to date.
• Other admin. functions for the dept. e.g. – reception relief, or other as required.

Key requirements:

• Knowledge of freight operation, documentation, products, operations, security, and equipment.
• Understanding of freight tariffs, rates, and freight quotes received from carriers and other logistics provided.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines.

• Superior knowledge of the Logistics industry and the key players within the industry nationally and globally.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage a team-based approach.
• A logical mind with the capacity to overcome difficult problems creatively.

We are looking for skilled individuals with at least 4 years of verified experience in dispatch operations of a Canadian freight forwarding company. Cargo-wise experience is a definite asset.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Communicate effectively with supervisor and management to gain an understanding of the needs and internal processes.
• Find resourceful solutions to obstacles that arise during day to day operations and ensure processes and procedures are followed in full.
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams at ITN including but not limited to; ITN Operations teams, Transport Division, 3PL Division and Customers.
• Build strong relationships with individuals at all levels of client organization and guarantee client has a positive, value-added experience in every interaction
• Fosters a team approach and ensures that there is enthusiastic cooperation when interacting with internal teams.
• Fosters and supports continuous learning culture at the company.
• Provide direct instruction to Drivers and provide open communication
• Booking and arranging pickups and deliveries from/to client’s docks, bonded warehouses, store fronts malls and personal residences on behalf of ITN clients.
• Provide customers with updates and assist in any escalation issues.
• Ensuring all other dispatch functions such as billing, POD’s, driver payroll, invoice approvals are done in a timely manner
• Maintain updated carrier rates
• Assist in managing the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the Dispatch Department, specifically handling information flow, business process and organizational planning, to achieve high customer service and performance.
• Coordinate with other departments of ITN Logistics Group with regard to shipment and truck loads to enable excellent client service.
• Building strong relations with outsource carriers
• Other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education and Industry Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the Bonded warehouse and transportation industries would be an asset
• 4+ years dispatch experience

Technical Skills / Qualifications:

• Proficiency with computers, ability to work in Windows applications, especially Microsoft Office is an asset.
• Experience working in the trucking industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Reliable transportation
