2020 Quebec Spring Thaw Load Restrictions

The Province of Quebec Transport Ministry is once again reminding heavy intermodal container and vehicle users, that authorized load limits are reduced during the spring thaw period in order to take into account the weaker load bearing capacity of Quebec’s road network.

 

Official dates for 2020
Zone 1 – From Monday, March 9 (00:01) to Friday, May 8 (23:59)
Zone 2 – From Monday, March 16 (00:01) to Friday, May 15 (23:59)
Zone 3 – From Monday, March 23 (00: 01) to Friday, May 22 (23:59)

The starting and ending dates of the load restriction period may be adjusted by the Ministry depending on weather conditions.
