ITN has just been informed of the following by MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Canada Inc., a marine carrier who contracts their rail carriage out to CN Railway:
Due to terminal congestion and labor shortages at Termont and Viau terminals, average import rail dwell times have increased to 10 days.
In order to help improve the situation, we are working with our partners to enhance the fluidity. MSC apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these unforeseen circumstances, we will make sure we do our best to bring our operations back to the level of service you expect from us.
ITN Customer Service and Operations teams are monitoring the rail movements out of Montreal and will keep you updated on possible delays.
